GODSMACK Bringing 'Love Hate Sex Pain'
July 8, 2010According to The Pulse of Radio, GODSMACK will officially unleash the second single from its album "The Oracle", titled "Love Hate Sex Pain", to radio stations this weekend. With that title, you have to wonder what the song is about, but frontman Sully Erna told The Pulse of Radio he's not talking. "I don't know if I'm really okay with like being that open anymore, because, you know, I've learned that from the past, sometimes being open to the public and giving them a little bit too much information has come back to bite me in the ass," he said. "And then rumors start and gossip starts and then, you know, all of a sudden you have family members, now I have an eight-year-old daughter that can read very well, and there's just some things that I'm not so sure that I can share with the public anymore, you know."
"Love Hate Sex Pain" will follow up the single "Cryin' Like A Bitch", which topped the rock radio chart for six weeks.
The latter song is an example of what Erna is talking about: it was speculated for weeks — and not exactly denied — that the tune was written as a slam against MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx.
